You may not have been to 2 Goodfellas yet, the recently renovated bar and restaurant on 41st and Walnut streets, but the minute you enter you'll feel as though you've been there before. With an accessible staff, warm wooden d‚cor and a bar that doesn't overwhelm the rest of the restaurant, 2 Goodfellas is a cozy, welcome respite from the ever-popular dark, smoky dive bar. Previously a notch or two above a deli with cramped eating space, 2 Goodfellas now offers a reasonably priced selection of drinks and a comfortingly familiar menu of sandwiches, pasta, salads and entr‚es. The restaurant service was a bit slow, but the wait was well worth the friendly faces and home-cooked food. The prime location, along with the roominess of the split-level dining area, should make 2 Goodfellas popular with Penn students. So pull up a chair by the window, watch the Phillies game on television and order your favorite beer and pasta. Welcome home.
