Street: Would you say your life compares more to The Eagles’ “Life in the Fast Lane” or Mos Def’s “Sex, Love & Money?”

Steve Waye: I’ll go with “Sex, Love & Money.” Because we’re sexy and people love us… and we’re money.

Street: How much do drugs or alcohol influence your sounProxy-Connection: keep-alive Cache-Control: max-age=0

Your shows?

Eric Karlan: Alcohol plays an instrumental role in each of our shows because if the audience isn’t plastered, we don’t sound nearly as good.

Steve: It’s like spinach for Popeye.

Street: At what point in your career do you plan on going to rehab?

Steve: I’ve been in and out many times.

Ben Miller: On the wagon, off the wagon…

Street: If Beethoven were alive what he would say about your music?

Eric: Beethoven was deaf, so he wouldn’t say anything.

Ben: He’d say “What?”

Street: Any unspoken rivalries, say between you and Penn Singers? Mask and Wig Band?

Ben: I think we get along pretty well.

Eric: We’re better than last year. Our only rivals are our ancestors. We are our own worst enemy.

Street: Why should we go to your shows?

Ben: ‘Cause there’s free beer.

Eric: Because Steve wears women’s underwear. It’s absolutely true.

Street: If your band were a food, what type of food would it be?

Steve: Crème brûlée. It is what it is.

Street: Hard on the outside, really soft on the inside?

Eric: We would be the opposite, I think. We play girly pop songs, but we’re really tough at heart.

Steve: We’re like a stale fruitcake, hard all the time. [Ed. note: That’s what she said. Sorry. Couldn’t resist.]

Street: You bring one (maybe two?) of your countless groupies home: what song do you put on?

Eric: Mike Slivjak singing a capella “Larger than Life” in a Bon Jovi voice.

Ben: Very sexy.

Street: Can your music help people? Can it save lives?

Steve: I’ve seen many people pass out on the floor and be revived by a power chord.

Ben: We’ll melt your face then revive you with awesomeness.
