Street: What can we expect from your live show?

Ryan Leslie: I’ve been going around the country — touring with really exciting live band arrangements, just going out in different venues to earn respect, earn an audience.

Street: You have a phone number on your MySpace and YouTube pages. What kinds of calls do you get on that?

RL: Yeah, you can call me at 917-720-7507. I got that number with unlimited voicemail, so while I’m touring around the country I can listen to messages from my fans. We get all types of calls. Maybe you hated the show from last night, maybe you loved it or maybe you’re just going to be in the front row and you want me to look out for you.

Street: What’s the craziest message you’ve received?

RL: I can’t say the craziest, but I’ve gotten quite a few propositions, business and otherwise.

Street: Are you looking to recreate any college memories when you come to campus?

RL: Well, whenever we do shows at colleges, we have massive after-parties. It’ll be at a secret location.

Street: You entered college at age 15. Were you a big fan of the show Smart Guy?

RL: I’m not familiar with that program. I’m into creating content, rather than consuming content.

Street: Any final words to the students?

RL: Call me!
