1889: The first jukebox debuts at the Palais Royale Saloon in San Francisco.

1969: John Lennon returns his 1965 award of knighthood to Buckingham Palace. Included was a note that read: “Your Majesty, I am returning this MBE in protest against Britain’s involvement in the Nigeria-Biafra thing, against our support of America in Vietnam and against 'Cold Turkey' slipping down the charts. With love, John Lennon of Bag.”

1973: Scot Halpin, 19-year-old mega-fan of The Who, is pulled on stage from the audience to take over for the exhausted drummer Keith Moon. After playing three songs, Scot becomes too tired to continue.

1995: Tupac Shakur and Tha Dogg Pound distribute 2,000 turkeys in Los Angeles, pleasing soup kitchens and angering PETA.

1999: 98 Degrees performs on the Home Shopping Network, reaching a low we never thought possible.
