We may have our own Marbar here on campus, but we could definitely use a Sunset Happy Hour like the one at the Market Street location. During the warm summer and fall months, Marathon Grill opens its doors and moves its bar fountain-side in Commerce Square. On Thursdays, DJ Rahsaan spins a global mix of world beats, and on Fridays DJ Deep C revisits the '80s, mixing in modern hits. Although the drink specials aren't dirt cheap, the lively atmosphere, free appetizers and generous drinks make it worth the trip.

Time: Happy Hour 4:30 p.m. - close, Thu - Fri (weather permitting)

Drink: Happy Hour Specials- $20 per bucket of 5 beers (bottles), $3 Yuengling Draughts, $5 Cosmos, $5 Ketel One Citron Lemon Margaritas, $7 wine and cocktails. Try the Chocolate Raspberry Martini or the Swedish Fish Shot.

Food: Complimentary zesty tomato and cheese flatbread. Otherwise, it's the typical Marathon menu with appetizers such as nachos, chicken tenders and buffalo wings ($6-$9). Entrees include a variety of burgers, salads and other American cuisine ($8-$13).

Ambience: A vibrant crowd, loud music, and a fully stocked outdoor bar provide a perfect setting to kick off the weekend. But go soon... Sunset Happy Hour disappears when the weather gets colder.

Clientele: The younger crowd of twentysomethings tends to gather around the bar, while older patrons and those eating dinner opt for the outdoor table service. Named "best place to pick up a lawyer...if you're thinking young, cute, and corporate" in Best of Philly, it's a great place to keep in mind for those living in Philly post-graduation, and a fun diversion for anyone else.
