Looking for a new way to experience the fine cuisine Philadelphia has to offer? Want to be the one your friends come to for new food and restaurant recommendations? Then try City Food Tours, a walking tasting tours company started by a Penn alumnus that shows the best Philly eats. Under the guidance of prominent chefs and food experts, guests are exposed to only the finest handmade and imported fare. There are several themed tours to choose from, but the most popular of these is the Center City Food Lovers' Tour. This tour takes guests through the heart of Philadelphia as they sample chocolates, cheeses, exotic teas and coffees. The Center City Food Lovers Tour lasts about two and a half hours, which breaks down into a half hour of walking and two hours of tasting. Depending on the type of tour, the cost ranges from $15 to about $40. Offered Wednesday through Sunday, tickets can be purchased online at Zerve.com or by phone at (212) 209-3370.
