Following the success of his mix “College is Nuts,” Buffalo DJ/producer Almond tries out another unarguable truism with his winter mix “My Birthday is Nuts.” And while we’re now in the throes of spring, his remix of “Stay the Night” (the single featuring Hayley Williams that isn’t “Airplanes”) starting at 27:46 still hasn’t gotten old. Reworked by Almond, this song credits remixes by Kevin Drew, Northmark and Kevin Jay. A song this upbeat gives faith that winter can now finally be written off as a bad memory.
And it’s definitely worth checking out the rest of the mix—the opening is a remix of Chip Skylark’s “My Shiny Teeth & Me,” and if that doesn’t earn your respect, nothing will.
