Sitting outside at a restaurant on campus poses certain risks, namely eye contact with every ex–hook–up, freshmen hallmate or worst frenemy that may walk past. Zavino, located on Drexel’s rapidly expanding campus, frees you of that burden. There are college kids walking all around, but you probably won’t know them and the spacious restaurant gives you some privacy either way.

For the majority of my generation, the Harry Potter series conjures up memories of magical childhood nights lined up outside of Barnes and Noble and heated debates about which Hogwarts house you would be in. But, until last week, those stories meant nothing to me. I had never read any Harry Potter books. I didn’t know what house I would be in (although everyone who suggested Hufflepuff can suck it). I never camped out for a book release and I never thought about getting points for Gryffindor when I answered a question in class.

With Gin (for a cooler) or Rum (for a mojito):
Muddle (crush with the back of a spoon), 6 mint leaves, ½ a lime, and one shot (or so) of your liquor of choice at the bottom of a cup. Add 4-6 cucumber slices. Pour over ice and finish with tonic water. Let it sit for a few minutes so the flavors combine. Cheers!

Ellie Goulding surely never lived as a caveman but she is well aware of the importance of fire. In her new single, the first off a rebooted version of her 2012 album “Halcyon,” which will include new songs, remixes and collaborations, including “I Need Your Love” with Calvin Harris, Goulding embraces the healing power of the flame. She wrote the track with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, so radio dominance is inevitable. With a triumphant message about defiance and celebration, Ellie’s throaty voice cuts through an electronic beat that could kick off many a frat party. As she croons, “We, we don’t have to worry bout nothing/Cause we got the fire, and we're burning one hell of a something,” it’s impossible to worry about the ramifications of so much burning. It’s summer, and all one can do is dance. And let it burn.

Welcome to Penn, where students overlap in webs more complicated than that gross hook–up diagram from "Jersey Shore." Forget six degrees of separation. We’re lucky to get three. Locust is the nexus of this spit web. Running into your own ex is bad enough, what with the loaded glances, attempts at causal hellos and resurgences of old feelings. The equation gets far trickier when the ex in question is not your own, but your friend’s.

The National Constitution Center: a pilgrimage site for high school American History classes, patriotic tours, and as of last night, beer aficionados. The Bathtub Beer Festival (a reference to how beer was brewed illegally during Prohibition) brought together over 40 kinds of beer, from regional stars such as Yards and Dogfish Head, to smaller breweries like Prism and Straub, all for the sake of raising funds for even more brewski-related fun at Philly Beer Week this summer. Many heeded to the Prohibition theme: they parked their kegs in clawfoot tubs (most had multiple on tap) and wore feathers, suspenders and gold. The event organizers even set up a tightly guarded bathtub of openly brewed beer that was not open to consumption, though we heard rumors that it would be funneled and served “tomorrow”. Luckily for those suspender-and-fedora-wearing guests in attendance, that was the only prohibited brew: The four ounce cups handed to everyone upon entering were filled to the top, while a band played music right out of the roaring twenties. The drinking here was as serious as Al Capone with a Tommy gun: Those spit buckets that they have at wine tastings were nowhere to be found. And why would they be? We were remembering a time when kegs and cans were illegal and not a drop could be wasted. Just ask our managing editor, who approached the venue with scientific curiosity, scribbling notes after each sip. It quickly got illegible but we think he had fun.

First of all, Harvest is really good. We were more than a little skeptical about the restaurant's ability to make tasty food for under 500 calories, but they knocked it out of the park. When you try their fall menu, which will be there till December, don’t miss these dishes:
