Philly Photo Day Exhibit 11/10–26 Free Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, 1400 N. American St. If you didn’t know that October 28 was Philly Photo Day, don’t worry — nearly 900 people in Philadelphia did. The Philadelphia Photo Arts Center has put together an exhibition from all of the photos they received, so don’t miss out again. Go check out Philadelphians’ snapshots of scenes from all over the city during one day. Maybe take a photo of them while you’re at it… so meta.

Philadelphia Produces Original Design at the Museum Store 11/11–12/31 Products range from $30–3,000 Philadelphia Museum of Art, 26th St. and the Benjamin Franklin Pkwy. Luckily, artist/designer/author and, above all, Philadelphia–lover Alex Stadler is bringing an eclectic pop–up bazar to the PMA store. Showcasing items exclusively designed and/or produced in Philly, this pop–up store has everything from jewelry, fashion and furniture to toys and stationary. Ranging from cute to quirky, the products sold at P.POD do justice to its motto: “freakish, brilliant, or gorgeous.”

One Track Mind: Blink–182’s “After Midnight”

After a six–year hiatus, Blink–182 returns with the same catchy punk aesthetic that made them one of pop music’s most influential acts.

Review: Fountains of Wayne

Fountains of Wayne has come a long way since lusting after "Stacy's Mom.” While the 2003 hit gained them airplay and a following, since then the power–pop band has crafted several albums of irresistibly catchy, unexpectedly poignant tunes. In Sky Full of Holes,Fountains of Wayne dials down the loud, lively choruses and synth–driven melodies in favor of a cooler acoustic vibe that suits the  more somber content of their songs. While the change in tone may be a bit unsettling for loyal fans, for the most part Fountains of Wayne sticks to what they do best: storytelling.
