First vajazzling, now vajacials? Vagina beauty treatments are catching on at spas across the nation including those in Philadelphia. V–Steaming, short for vaginal steaming, is said to be the ancient process used to cleanse the female genitalia. Called chai–yok in Korea, yoni steam in India, and bajos in Central America, the origin of the treatment is unclear. While practiced around the world, v–steaming remained largely unknown in the United States—that is, until GOOP founder Gwyneth Paltrow put her stamp of approval on the treatment. On her website, the actress–turned–lifestyle–guru wrote about her experience with v–steaming, claiming “it is an energetic release—not just a steam douche—that balances female hormone levels.”

MIUCHA might be one of the most photogenic places in Philadelphia. While the storefront is located in the Chinatown district only blocks from the likes of the famed Ken’s Seafood and Banana Leaf. The interior is baby pink with white orb lamps, circular mirrors, and an entire wall of grassy green fabric. It is spacious inside, with plenty of area to sit and sip in the back. MIUCHA opened just a few months ago, but already has a following. “The place is popular with students. Especially high schoolers after class,” remarked Samuel Sze, who works at MIUCHA.

Shampoo and conditioner. Name a more iconic duo. Yet, the biggest hair trend in recent years attempts to challenge that: Co–washing, short for conditioner washing, is the skipping of the shampoo step while washing one’s hair. Also called "No–Poo" or the "Curly Girl Method," this beauty hack is suppose to unleash your hair's true potential. The process, when used regularly, can help heal damaged hair, helping it to produce natural oils and return to its natural texture. Is co–washing low–maintenance and high–reward? Or is it just a slick name that will give you oily hair?

There has never been a better time to go green. No, not just because St. Patrick’s Day is approaching, but because spring is the time for fresh produce. Low in calories and high in nutrients, green vegetables are having a major moment, and it is easier than ever to get your five–a–day serving in tasty ways. Fresh, build–your–own salad shops, with the addition of Just Salads on campus, is a growing trend in fast casual dining. For those with more of a sweet tooth, creative recipes that sneak veggies into your favorite comfort foods are popping up all over food blogs, from adding spinach to muffins to shredding zucchini into oatmeal. But how important is it REALLY to get your daily dose of greens? Do these “superfood” veggies actually live up to the hype?

Penn students are swarming to the corner of 34th and Walnut in droves—and it’s not because they’re on their way to DRL. Franklin's Table Food Hall is open, and you better be prepared to run into just about everyone you know there. The excitement for the new venue is palpable, and anyone who walks by can clearly see how the modern and sleek yet approachable decor sparks people's curiosity. Through the glass walls, you can see that the space is packed at any time of day.

Pounding forehead, shaking hands, queasy stomach—the symptoms of an unforgettable night that you might not remember. While some hangovers feel as though they are worth medical attention, the next best thing is a concoction of Pedialyte and Alka–Seltzer to sooth the pain. All over the globe, people have crafted their own hangover cures, from pickle juice in Poland to poutine in Canada. Across history, people have searched to no avail for the absolute cure to their post–alcohol ailment. Now, the newest evolution in hangover remedy has arrived in Philadelphia: intravenous (IV) therapy. But it's nowhere near cheap.

Warm spring days are upon us, and what better way to cool down than day drinking the weekend away? Darty season is officially here, kicked off by St. Patrick's Day. Of course, Penn has its fair share of brunch spots to kick off the morning, from BYOing at Aksum to $14 bottomless mimosas at White Dog Café. However, splurging on overpriced omelets (that may or may not come back up later) can be an expensive habit. Instead, throw a Boozy Brunch at home for half the price. These recipes are big enough to feed the whole crowd and easy enough that you can drink while you cook.

Copabanana is a Philadelphia classic for a reason—juicy burgers and greasy fries all washed down with a jumbo–sized margarita. Arguably the best place to get sloshed for under $10 on campus, the affectionately nicknamed 'Copa' has been a favorite of Penn students since its opening in 2004. While we are most acquainted with the University City location (where “getting a double” is a rite of passage), the OG Copabanana is actually located in the midst of bustling South Street. Opened in 1978, the restaurant/bar has been a nightlife spot for decades, attracting tourists and locals alike.

United by Blue—the on–campus coffee shop formerly infamous for its lack of seats for studying—has recently undergone renovation. United by Blue expanded their square footage to accommodate more customers and feature more apparel. An oddball combination of clothing store and coffee shop, United by Blue is “a brand to benefit the planet” according to store manager Renée, who declined to provide her last name. “It started with our T–shirts, but the coffee shop was a way to get people in the store to talk about the mission.”

Filet mignon, pumpkin risotto, and sea bass bouillabaisse—sounds like the menu of Philadelphia’s finest restaurant. Instead, these are just a few of the “featured entrées” served up to students at New College House (NCH). Though seemingly unbelievable, the proof can be found on the social media of the NCH head Chef, Zach Hankins. Zach shows off his culinary creations daily on his NCH-exclusive Foodstagram, @ChefZachHankins.
