Damien Jurado - Maraqopa Indie singer/songwriter Damien Jurado adds to his repertoire of soft, brooding tunes with his tenth studio album. It’s just the ticket for staring pensively at the rain against your window — it’s no wonder this guy lives in Seattle.

Grimes – Visions Montreal’s Claire Boucher brings us her preview of music from approximately the year 2100. Visions marks the fourth release in two years from this innovative synth-rock siren, whose ethereal voice conjures up a bit of Bjork and Joanna Newsom. Note: Pick up Street this Thursday for our full review.

My Best Fiend – In Ghostlike Fading Warp—the label that’s given the world the likes of Grizzly Bear, Flying Lotus and Boards of Canada — brings us another genre-hopping indie outfit based in Brooklyn. One day we might be over this regional subgenre, but we’re not quite there yet.

Sleigh Bells – Reign of Terror  Expectations are high for this sophomore release from the king and queen (if not the revitalizers) of noise pop, who have kept the leather jackets and extremely high volume intact. Note: Pick up Street this Thursday for our full review.

Tyga – Careless World: Rise of the Last King Probably the only rapper alive with a last name like “Nguyen-Stevenson,” Tyga follows up his 2008 debut with his first studio album under Young Money. We’ll find out if joining Weezy’s crew has made Tyga’s snarl just that much more gangsta. Note: Pick up Street this Thursday for our full review.
