Until I saw A Very Brady Sequel, I thought I was the only person who harbored a secret desire to break into an amateur song-and-dance routine aboard a flight to Hawaii. Thankfully, I now know that Carol, Mike and the gang are right there with me. This follow-up to 1995’s The Brady Bunch Movie, in which the iconic '70s TV family is transplanted into modern day Los Angeles, retains its predecessor’s witty charms while adding a gloriously implausible plot centered on missing ex-husbands, quasi-incest and an exceedingly valuable horse statue.

The famous bunch is at the center of all the action, carrying on in their delusional, giddy haze throughout the 90-minute romp, which even features a shroom-induced animated sequence. The inclusion of several more musical numbers, cameos from Zsa Zsa Gabor and Rosie O’Donnell and Jan’s imaginary boyfriend certainly make me yearn for a spot as the adopted seventh Brady child.
