The overabundance of outdoor music festivals is one of the great things about summer. If you didn’t have the cash to spring for the plane ride to Chicago for Pitchfork Music Festival this weekend, you can still get into the festival spirit at XPoNential Music Festival, a three day extravaganza in Camden’s waterfront Wiggins Park, featuring Yo La Tengo, the Walkmen, and local favorites Dr. Dog.

Starting Friday 7/16, 6:00 p.m. ($30 daily tickets)

Does the mere mention of Camden give you shudders? Don’t worry, there’s plenty of outdoors musical enjoyment to be had at home as well. Put on your dancing shoes and head to West Philly’s own Clark Park for the Brown Bear Music and Arts Festival, a celebration of local culture and crafts to raise funds for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

Saturday 7/17, 11:30a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (Free!)
