It is borderline impossible to find a good cappuccino on campus. But now that Hub Bub has arrived, the poorly-caffeinated disappointment of years past has finally subsided.

Hub Bub’s tagline reads: “Good things brewing. Real good things.” And rest assured, this is not false advertising. To start, their cappuccino is simply sumptuous. Made with the perfect ratio of foam to milk to espresso in mind, this is not the watered down pseudo-lattes that one most often comes across. The espresso in the concoction leaves a satisfying aftertaste that will immediately leave you craving more.

No coffee cart would be complete, however, without classic filter coffee. And at Hub Bub, it was flawless. Not over-filtered or overly bitter, the coffee was exactly right. The mild but full-bodied flavor of the blend was a perfect morning pick-me-up.

For those of you who do not indulge in the bliss that is coffee, Hub Bub has some wonderful alternatives. The Earl Grey tea is sure to satisfy even the most foolhardy tea-drinkers. But it is really the lemonade that gives even the cappuccino a run for its money. Lightly sweetened but still refreshingly tart, the lemonade is an absolute treat. Hub Bub also serves a “50-50,” their yummy version of an Arnold Palmer.

Serving muffin tops, croissants and Rice Krispies treats among others, Hub Bub’s snacks perfectly complement their beverage selection. The almond croissant was astoundingly good: it flaked just the right amount and the almond center certainly did not overwhelm the base pastry.

Hub Bub should be a part of everyone’s daily coffee routine, if only for the smile and copious conversation courtesy of Hub Bub's Drew Crockett. And we should definitely expect a change in their tagline, from “good things” to “great things” because “good” just doesn’t do Hub Bub justice.
