This cheery Italian Market brunch phenomenon serves up a mix of local favorites and original creations. As soon as you step into the restaurant you know that this is a place where you will want to be a regular. Bright pastel pink and yellow walls add to this caf‚'s fabulous '50s feel. Sock hop music plays in the background.

All of Sabrina's ingredients are fresh and local: the coffee is La Colombe and the bread Le Bus. The brunch menu is extensive and the specials change daily. The egg white primavera frittata, a regular menu selection, is packed with an assortment of market veggies and comes with a choice of hearty toasts and home fries tossed with caramelized onions. The pumpkin raspberry peach pancakes (a somewhat unconventional special) are deliciously tart.

Favorites include homemade granola with yogurt and mixed berries, caramelized challah French toast stuffed with bananas and Farmer's cheese and an apple and sharp cheddar omelet. If you prefer lunch fare, Sabrina's has a wide array of soups, salads and sandwiches.

The portions are enormous, but many items also come in a half-size and the prices are reasonable, with brunch entr‚es ranging from $5 to $9. Lunch and dinner are a bit more expensive.

Brunch at Sabrina's is quite popular, and at 10 a.m. the wait is already about an hour long. Be sure to call before you plan to eat, because although the restaurant doesn't take reservations, you can add your name to the list an hour before you plan to arrive.
