We asked Yasmin "everybody knows her" Radjy how to make friends and influence people.

Street: Why do they call you "Big Pun?"

Yasmin Radjy: Because I pun-ish my friends and family regularly with my pun-gently awful sense of humor.

Street: Can you pun in different languages?

YR: Yes, bilingual puns are my favorite. My Persian puns are farsi-llier than any other ones.

Street: So, we've heard that somehow, "Everyone knows Yasmin!" The question is, do you know everybody? How?!

YR: I have scarily accurate facial recollection and am losing my long distance vision. The two have combined into a big problem of thinking I know everyone. People come around eventually.

Street: So, you're the head of the Penn Persian Society. What is the distinction between Persian and Iranian?

YR: Same thing. Except a lot of Americans think Persian equals exotic/cats/rugs and Iranian equals axis of evil.

Street: What is your preferred method of communication?

YR: Sticking my tongue out at people.

Street: Is it true that your busy social life has prevented you from sleeping in a real bed?

YR: A bed-der way to frame the situation is that Ikea-n't build furniture very well or efficiently. I must say though, sleeping on a mattress pad on the floor in the middle of a hollow bed frame is a far better way of getting to know one's rodent roommates.

Street: What is it like being in a coed frat? What is the difference between St. Elmo's and other houses?

YR: It's like totally rad, brahh. We, like, get really wasted and like, hook up with the hottest people like all the time and that's why we are like so awesome. And stuff.

Street: What is St. Elmo's fire? And why was that Brat Pack movie named that, anyway?

YR: St. Erasmus, aka St. Elmo, was the patron saint of mariners. St. Elmo's fire is a naturally occurring flash of light in the sky that's meant to be pretty trippy and has been followed by sailors throughout history. Can't you sea the clear and direct relationship to our frat?

Street: The world can be divided into two groups of people: those that ____ and those that ____.

YR: Those that live in Van Pelt and those that don't.

Street: Your Facebook profile says you hate [the font] Comic Sans. What is your favorite font and what does it say about you?

YR: These days I've really been digging "Georgia." It's simple without being dull, bold while still subtle, and clean with some subtle flair. Basically it's everything I'm not.
