During Fling, your safety lies with SPEC prez and Fling Safe head Max Cancre. The Senior speaks on Luda, painkillers, and why you should Fling safely... or die.

Street: What is the objective of Fling Safe? Max Cancre: You mean other than to get people to Fling safely? I guess next time we'll be more explicit and call it "Fling Safe or Die." What do you think? [Ed. note: We prefer "Man-Up-and-Wash-Your-Eggs-Down-With-Whisky or Die."]

Street: How much preparation goes into Fling? MC: When you throw a party for 20 friends, you plan for it for at least one day. Fling is a 12,000-person party. Do the math; that's 600 days. But I just watch as the Spring Fling, Concerts and SPEC-TRUM committees work their magic. Damn, it feels good to be a senior.

Street: Do people ever get mad at you for patrolling the halls of the Quad? MC: Next time you're bored, try to get wasted college kids to empty their drinks, apologize for their poor decision making and go back outside. Let me know how it goes.

Street: Best and worst thing about being president of SPEC? MC: The best thing is knowing all the secrets before everyone else. The worst is being expected to keep them.

Street: Worst Fling memory? Best Fling memory? MC: Worst: I used to be on the crew team and sophomore year we went to Cornell to race during Fling. Recap: (a) I wasn't here and (b) we got our asses handed to us. Not fun. Best: Last year, I had surgery a week before Fling and I was on Percocet. If you read the label it clearly says "do not mix with alcohol." A Nalgene of beer later, I wiped out on my way to the Quad. Twice.

Street: Favorite Luda song? MC: In Huntsman, it's "Money Maker." On the Walk, it's "Move Bitch!". And when I go out, it's "Pimpin' All Over the World." (But that could just be my "Fantasy.")

Street: Most interesting/fun person you've met because of SPEC? MC: Henry Kissinger. His favorite Luda song is "Hoes in Different Area Codes."

Street: As a senior, any advice for the freshmen about to embark on their first Fling? MC: Go hard or go home. Just remember: you can't bursar ambulance trips.
