Blarney Stone Quizzo 3929 Sansom St. Tuesdays, 10 p.m. This on-campus Quizzo favorite has teams compete for free bar tabs. The rowdy atmosphere adds to the excitement of the game, and drink specials ($3 Long Islands are a personal favorite) add to the fun. Rounds include a random trivia round, themed round, speed round and music round.
New Deck Quizo 3408 Sansom St. Mondays & Wednesdays, 10 p.m. The original home to Quizzo (or Quizo, as they prefer to spell it) in Philadelphia, New Deck is where the serious competitors come to play. While there is a dollar cover, though the free peanuts more than make up for it, and the $2 domestic pints are sure to please. A more subdued atmosphere than Blarney Quizzo, teams at New Deck come to win in this battle of wits. Rounds include two random trivia rounds, a speed round and a round with a mystery theme.
Valanni Kinky Quizzo 1229 Spruce St. Tuesdays, 11 p.m. Come to Valanni for the Oreo beignets (the fancier name for the fried Fling favorite) and stay for the kinky Quizzo. This naughty version of the game is well worth the trip downtown, and the prizes are as sexual as the questions (think blow up dolls, vibrators and adult movies). Expect your knowledge of all things sex to be thoroughly tested (sex in history, human anatomy, porn...) through three rounds of titillating trivia.
