Going to school in an urban environment like good ol’ Philly satisfies many a desire, offering art museums, happening restaurants and establishments for dancing our asses off. One thing not included on this list? Mother Nature. April 19, however, we Philadelphians can have our cake and eat it too thanks to the annual Macy’s Flower Show.
Located at Macy’s in Center City, the flower show promises spectacular landscapes and renowned floral designers. Not only will you be able to get your tulip fix within the walls of the department store, but visitors will also observe unique garden environments filled with exotic trees and flowering plants.
Six designers, including Martha Stewart, showcase their beautiful table settings based on this year’s theme, an “enchanted dinner party.” Also be sure to take advantage of the 15-minute complimentary guided tours, available daily at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
