Raxx Vintage West, at 37th and Walnut Street, will close on May 31. The store is ending its tenure on Penn’s campus after it opened in August of 2017.

Raxx Vintage West, which sold vintage clothing and homewares sourced from local artists and craftspeople, replaced American Apparel after the store declared bankruptcy in January of 2017. Raxx Vintage West Founder Amanda Saslow, who also runs the other Raxx Vintage location on South Street, curated this location to be preppier, catering to college students’ tastes.

If you're a sucker for the prep, you're in luck—the store has a "closing sale" happening until May 31.

Kate Tettemer, who has been working for the company since February, says that the store “never had an intention to stay forever,” due to its nature of being a pop–up shop. The store won’t be coming back to Penn’s campus, but you can still check out Raxx Vintage on South Street.
