Lisa Loeb

North Star Bar

27th and Poplar streets

7:30, $15/$17 DOS, 21+

(215) 922-LIVE

And I do... think that while Lilith Rock and the whole girl power singer-songwriter genre of music has gone into remission, Lisa Loeb still has a few hits up her sleeve. Sure, Jewel and her big boobs, crooked teeth and painful book of poetry might have pushed the cat-eye glasses-wearing wallflower out of Ethan Hawke's spotlight, but that doesn't mean that Miss Loeb is just gonna go crying back to Brown. Just you wait America, the cat is here to Stay.

Six Degrees of Separation

Christian Association

118 S. 37th Street

7 p.m., Free

(215) 746-6350

Seeing this movie is your clear choice for method of procrastination Sunday night. Anything with West Philly born-and-raised Will Smith is undoubtedly worth your time (we even occasionally have a section named after him) and the fact that you'll get to watch him scam a bunch of pretentious Upper East Side socialites is certainly an added incentive. In all honesty it's probably what I, as a philosophy major, will someday have to do to some Wharton grad to subsist. I'll be there taking notes.

Yamato Wadaiko Drummers

Irvine Auditorium

34th and Spruce streets

7 p.m., $25, $35, $40

(215) 898-3900

You have got to see this shit. Yamato Wadaiko Drummers go fucking apeshit on those drums, beating them with their whole bodies. It's incredible. It's different. It's better than a Freshgrocer California Roll. It's that raw. And these guys have major stamina. You might even see some groupies waiting for them at the back of Irvine, waiting for them to load up their van, hoping to assist them with their drumsticks.

Oysterhead

Tweeter Center

1 Harbour Boulevard

Camden, N.J.

7:30 p.m., $29.75 SOLD OUT

(856) 365-1300

The history of supergroups such a Blind Faith and CSNY hasn't been too great. The music they make is incredible, but egos and pressure seem to make it almost impossible for them to remain in tact for long. Who knows what fate will hold for Les Claypool, Trey Anastasio and Stewart Copeland, but its gonna be a good time as long as it lasts. Copeland has said that the tour is going to play by "Phish rules," and that means there will be plenty of room for these virtuosi to stretch out and display their talents. The show is sure to be a welcome respite from Phish hiatus withdrawal.
