Average Penn Student, I know what you're thinking: where can I get my poodle groomed? Luckily, we here at Street have done the legwork for you. The place is called the Poodle Clipping Service, and the woman is called one Bunee L. Keenan. She is a sweet old lady who has been in "the biz" for almost fifty years now. Although she used to have seven employees working under her, she now runs the shop by herself with the help of her precious poodle, Love -- so named because she loves everyone.

Keenan explained that she has been doing this long before it was as prevalent as it is now, and that she plans to keep doing it for as long as she can -- specifically, until she dies. The name of the shop is actually somewhat deceptive, as she handles all kinds of small dogs. Although she once cared for larger dogs, they're now too unwieldy for her to handle. Even with smaller dogs, the job has its inherent dangers: she showed me a pretty nasty bite on her thumb from the other day. She's tough as nails, though, evinced by her refusal to wear a Band-Aid.

The shop offers an abundance of poodle-related services, such as nail clipping, hair washing and grooming. It is clandestinely located in the back of the building that Campus Restaurant occupies. Your dog will be in good company, as Keenan assured me that the University of Pennsylvania has commended her for her work with canines.

If it was anything less than an honorary degree, I'll be ashamed of my school.
