Review: Be Cool

John Travolta is Chili Palmer, a Brooklyn-born ex-gangster turned hot-shot movie producer who's had it with Hollywood and sets new sights on the music biz. Problem is, Chili's got some people from his past who'd rather see him cold in the ground than heating up the silver screen.

Palmer strikes big when he discovers Linda Moon ("Dip It Low" Christina Milian), a sexy songstress with a powerful voice. Chili teams up with record chief Edie Athens (Uma Thurman) to produce Linda's album, but the gang runs into trouble when Linda's former manager Raji (played hilariously by Vince Vaughn) puts up a fight for her contract (and by puts up a fight I mean orders a hit on Chili). He stays cool despite all the guns pointed at his head (hence the title), and of course everyone is happy in the end.
