34th Street Magazine - Return Home

From the ed

Four, tres, two, uno. Listen up ya'll, cuz this is it, this issue of Street is ridiculous. Streetalicious definition: make our readers loco. You want our stories and you get your pleasures from our photos. You can see us. You can read us. We are easy; we ain't sleazy. We have reasons why we tease, but it's you we want to please - Streetalicious.

Pause for a moment: You may be wondering the basis for the intro to this column. Well, I have a muse, or better, a grand idea, it is somewhat obscure, but bear with me. It is Fergie (Fergie Ferg want to love you long time), and not the weight-watching Duchess of York. No, this role model, this revolutionary, if you will, of our time is changing the world and as you can see, so is Street.

At this point you may be questioning how Fergie can be equated with Street, an arts & entertainment magazine? She can, but first, a few stipulations:

a) Our London, London bridge wanna to go down

b) We blow kisses (mmmmmwwahhhhhh)

c) None of our shit is fictitious

d) We can (without the aid of any word formatting program) spell tasty -T to the A to the S-T-E-Y - sorry Fergie Ferg, that's not how you spell tasty. Good thing our copy edz caught that little blunder. Way to go, copy.

In short, yes. By and large we comply with points A-D, except for on the rare occasion when our London, London bridge wanna go up. That being said, let's continue.

Streetalcious (hold hold hold hold hold hold up, check it out)

We are so delicious (It's hot, hot) this can be best be summarized by Food and Drink (page 6) and their reviews of some fine restaurants like Crescent City Caf‚ (t-t-t-t-t-tasty, tasty).

Also, we are not malicious (you may want a slice of what we got, though) aka High Brow and Dispatches this week. Check it out. Those who got Swept last week are still reeling, but nothing too revealing (we put those fools on rock rock).

Read on, readers. This week is chalked full of great content geared towards you.

So, baby, baby, baby. Street is laced with, well, lacey, it's so tasty tasty (note the spelling, please), it'll make you go crazy (metaphorically probably, no worries CAPS there will not be an influx of students come Thursday evening).

S to the T to the R E E T, to the S to the R to the, to the, to the, hit it, Street.
