34th Street Magazine - Return Home

From the ed

Welcome to our magazine! This is a special week for Street, and as other things rose last week, we will follow in suit and, and to be a little prosy myself, give a little rebirth to the Street literary issue. Literally is it back (and we are oh so punny). Yes, it is baaaacck and better than ever.

After much ado and deliberation we picked the best prose submission as well as photo and poetry (pg. 9) We likes the rhymes and it is time(s) that Street printed them again.

That said, today also marks another special holiday called Fling (see pg. 8), and Fling is a wonderful thing (yes, all rhymes are intended). If you are not using this magazine to wipe up your spilled pernicious juice of choice, I encourage you to read on, it may be a sobering experience (you can even eat the pages of the magazine as it has been proven that Street is the best cure for a hangover).

So enjoy yourself. Disfruta! Live that semi-charmed life that you have always dreamt about (only semi because you are probably using Fling as an excuse to not do any academic work at all - finals, what?).

Street encourages you to have fun, but don't be stupid because:

A) the Sweeper is always watching

B) being hung-over at 6 p.m. is about as fun as having chronic hiccups and

C) an ambulance ride that is the length of two blocks (the quad to HUP) is never an easy charge to explain to your parents on the ol' credit card.

In the end, have fun, kiddos. Street hopes that you make great memories, lasting memories, or just memories in general. We'll see you out in the trenches.

Loves it.
