For many, it’s already been an unbearably cold and extremely stressful semester, leaving us yearning for relief. While we can’t promise relief from the bitter weather and never-ending assignments, perhaps some comic relief will do the trick. If you’re looking for a laugh, giggle, or perhaps even a guffaw, be sure to check out RooftopComedy’s National College Comedy Competition, with preliminary rounds happening this Tuesday at Penn.

Enjoy the stand-up comedic stylings of Penn’s Simply Chaos (for free!) as students battle it out against each other to be the audience-selected eight to move on to the next round. Performers include David Agyekum, Oren Lavie, Alex Livingston, Josh Rabinowitz, Marisa Riley and Joseph Romito. Teams from 32 college campuses around the country will face off in regional matches until a final team is crowned the victor at the Aspen RooftopComedy Festival in Colorado later this year. So take a break from your studies, warm up from the cold, refresh your spirit after a potentially soul-crushing Valentine’s Day and show your support for the funnymen (and women) of Penn.
