Guilty Pleasures: She's the Man (2006)

Shakespeare + the two Step Up boys + some sick soccer skills = pure joy. Starring Amanda Bynes as a cross-dressing, soccer-loving teenager, it also features Channing Tatum and Robert Hoffman, both of Step Up fame. Bynes and Tatum engender a certain fusion that can only come from the secret lust Twelfth Night escapades inspire.

Missing Arrested Development? She’s the Man even has Tobias Fünke — David Cross to the non-AD fans — as the clueless headmaster. Plus, the movie was penned by Karen McCullah Lutz and Ewan Leslie. You can thank McCullah for classic guilty pleasures like 10 Things I Hate About You and Legally Blonde. With unforgettable one liners like “Girls with asses like mine do not talk to boys with faces like yours,” and “Just remember, inside every girl, there’s a boy,” why miss out on all the fun of Channing Tatum’s six pack?

‘Wicked: For Good’ is for the Theatre Kids

Wicked: For Good closes its story without awards recognition but with clear creative conviction. The film’s reception reflects a mismatch between its intentions and critical expectations. Designed as the second half of a continuous narrative, it prioritizes character depth and long-term emotional payoff over accessibility. In doing so, For Good succeeds less as a crowd-pleaser and more as a film made for those already invested in the world of Wicked.
