Album Review: "Innocents"—Moby

Veteran musician Moby’s electronic pop once again hits the bullseye with his newest album, “Innocents.” “Everything That Rises” starts the album off perfectly with just acoustics. It contrasts well with the heavily vocal “A Case for Shame” that follows. The entire album maintains the same tone of relaxation with the right crescendos hitting in just the right moments, so each song feels original and never stale. “Don’t Love Me” serves as a makeshift interlude, separating the grounded electronic sounds in the first half of the album from the more ethereal sounds of the second half. Moby is definitely not “Going Wrong” anywhere on his eleventh album.

Grade: A

Sound best when: Sunday hits, and you realize you have a shitload of work.
