WHAT TO GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED FOR:

-The new Steven Spielberg movie Bridge of Spies starring Tom Hanks premieres at the Ritz East theater this Thursday 10/15. Its Spielberg. Go. Be cultured.

-Want to stay closer to your bed? Well, walk no farther than to Gregory College House for a screening of Christopher Nolan’s Memento thisSunday 10/18 at 8 pm. Warning: this movie is trippy af. Appreciate it in its full glory - aka go sober.

-Live off campus and want to stay closer to your bed? Well, The Martian starring Matt Damon is playing at the Rave. But then again, if you want to see a Ridley Scott film, you can just watch Gladiator on Netflix... and that you can do in bed. Amen.

WHAT TO BRING UP IN FILM CLASS:

-According to various sources on the web, director Quentin Tarantino says there will be two versions released of his upcoming film The Hateful Eight: a standard theatrical version and a 70 mm version, which will be 12 minutes longer. Bring the words “Ultra Panavision” up in film class when describing this, and you will probably become the new teacher’s pet. And everyone will hate you. Sorry, not sorry.

-In other news, there are plans to produce a film about the recent Volkswagen scandal. Who’s behind these plans? Our ever-perfect environmentalist friend Leonardo DiCaprio, along with Paramount Pictures - not that you care about anything other than Leo.

WHAT TO STREAM:

-Season 2 of Jane the Virgin premieres this Sunday 10/19 at 9 pm. May we remind you that the lead actress, Gina Rodriguez, won the 2015 Golden Globe for best actress in a television comedy for her role as a young virgin who gets accidentally artificially inseminated and pregnant. Better her than you, right?

-A personal favorite, Saturday Night Live is on this Saturday night (no sh*t) with host Tracy Morgan and musical guest Demi Lovato. Recently recovered from a serious car crash in June 2014, Morgan is bound to put on a great performance for you to appreciate when you come home drunk and empty handed. :)
