Macaroni and cheese is undeniably a freshman staple. (Sorry to all the gluten–free freshmen out there. It's a cold, cold world without Wishbone macaroni in your life). But sometimes, you have to make due with the singular appliance available in your dorm room: the microwave. Here are two recipes that won’t require you to buy measuring equipment, search for an enormously complicated list of ingredients you’ll probably only use once, or do the dishes. And it tastes good too! Dorm hibernation at it’s finest.

Coconut Curry Mac

What you need:

Microwavable Mac & Cheese Cup

Curry Powder

Coconut Milk (FroGro sells single–serving boxes of coconut milk!)

Instructions:

1. Instead of water, pour coconut milk up to the line provided in the cup.

2. Follow instructions of Mac & Cheese cup as provided.

3. Once the Mac & Cheese is fully prepared, stir in a tablespoon of curry powder.

Flavor–Blasted Mac

What you need:

Microwavable Mac & Cheese Cup

Packet of Shredded Mexican Four–Cheese Blend

Parmesan Cheese

Garlic Powder

Instructions:

1. Follow instructions of Mac & Cheese cup as provided.

2. Once the Mac & Cheese is fully prepared, stir in about half a cup of shredded cheese.

3. Sprinkle in garlic powder and parmesan cheese.
