Last year the Austin, Texas, quartet ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead released Source Tags & Codes to great acclaim. Their newest endeavor, The Secret of Elena's Tomb -- aimed at keeping the indie band in the spotlight till they can release another full-length CD -- lacks the epic, genius quality of Source Tags. Elena's Tomb merges the weakest qualities of their previous work with new, more experimental material. They opted instead to throw together a quick five-track EP instead of waiting to construct another masterpiece -- and the difference is palpable. -- James Schneider
