Established in 1976, this affiliate of the Science Center has supported over 2,000 solo and group exhibits from the Philadelphia area. With a long list of interesting artists on display, the gallery emphasizes the relationship between art and community.

Serving both the University City and West Philadelphia neighborhoods, the Green Line Cafe provides an enclave of hipster-bohemian culture only a few blocks from campus. Opened in 2001, the venue offers eclectic food, including Vietnamese-style sandwiches -- a welcome relief from ordinary Starbucks fare.
Koch's Deli

Selling gargantuan sandwiches to the students of Philadelphia, Koch's Deli has been a community mainstay for about 40 years. Although the beloved owner, Bob Koch, recently passed away, he still has a devoted following who will gladly wait an hour in line for his delectable eats. Talk about a great way to be remembered.
Annenberg Center

Built in 1971, the Annenberg Center houses three theaters, making it one of the major cultural centers on Penn's campus. See anything from your favorite Penn dance troupe to one of the many touring orchestras that frequently appear here. Not wealthy? Not a problem. Penn Presents offers lottery tickets to their performances for only $5.
