5. Navy Day Regatta: Schuylkill River, Sat, Oct. 14, 11:30 a.m. 21st annual all-day rowing event is a Schuylkill tradition.

6. Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School: Trinity Art Gallery, Sat, Oct. 14, 3 p.m. Art meets burlesque at this alt-life-drawing session.

7. DJ Shadow with Del Tha Funky Homosapien: Theatre of Living Arts, Mon, Oct. 16, 8 p.m. Two of music's best turntablists bring distinct style and flavor to Philly.

8. Next Big Thing: The Trocadero, Fri & Sat, Oct. 20, 21, 6 p.m., 11 a.m. Showcase of up-and-coming local music scene.

9. Comedy Central Live: Demetri Martin These Are Jokes: Theatre of Living Arts, Thu, Oct. 26, 8 p.m. Offbeat comedian, as seen on Letterman and Last Call with Carson Daly, comes to Philly.

10.Terror Behind the Walls: Eastern State Penitentiary, thru Oct. 31, 7 p.m. Don't drop the soap around these ghosts.
