Oh, don't you want somebody to love. Don't you need somebody to love. You better find somebody to love. That's how the characters of Infinite Ache feel deep in their achy breaky hearts - you could call the sentiment Jeffersonian (Jefferson Airplane that is). Don't have a clue what we're talking about? Neither do we.
Pennsylvania Ballet: Carmina Burana and Serenade

Most of us take dance lessons as kids. We then decide that we don't like waking up early on Saturdays and move on. Unlike us slothful folk, the members of the Pennsylvania Ballet were those who decided that pas de bourr‚es were an aphrodisiac par excellence. See them get their thang on in the world premiere of Carmina Burana.
The Pogues with Starving Goliath
The Electric Factory
421 N. 7th St.
Fri, 8:30 p.m., $60

The Pogues, an Irish-influenced band from England, essentially created Celtic-punk. Plus, they were included in Q Magazine's list of "50 Bands to See Before You Die." Even if you're perfectly healthy, you never know what life might throw your way. So be sure catch them performing with Starving Goliath, an underground band reminiscent of The Who.
Quaker Notes
Houston Hall
3417 Spruce St.
Fri-Sat, 8 p.m., $6-8
http://dolphin.upenn.edu/~qnotes/
Penn's only all-female a cappella group, Quaker Notes have received rave reviews for their musical recordings. It's sure to be a great way to unwind after a week of hell, brought on by the fact that you did absolutely nothing during Spring Break. Still, Quaker Notes will let you procrastinate a little longer, and isn't that what we all pay our forty thou' for?

Hmm, are these guys Colombian drug lords or a rock band? There's really no way to tell, unless you go see them this weekend. Because sure, it says they're pop-punkers on the Internet, but it also says that Stone Phillips is a cyborg on the Internet, and we're pretty sure he's not. You'll end up getting high off either a) music (harmless) or b) illegal drugs (arguably less so).

Houston, we have a problem. We don't know anything about sports. Houston Hall? We know about. Sooo . let's pretend the 76ers are engaged in a battle with the physical building. Should be a tough match. Sure, Houston Hall's not that fast and can't really dribble (on account of being stationary), but damn, what a fortress on D. Houston Hall (the building) - GO!

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Florida Panthers

The Flyers may be in last place in their conference, but the Panthers aren't doing much better and a little support from the fans could be all it takes to clinch a much-needed win for the home team. Are we really going to lose to an ice hockey team from the Sunshine State? That would be oxymoronical like whoa.

He held his own against Simon, Randy and Paula, which is an accomplishment in itself, but singer Chris Daughtry has been garnering attention post-American Idol for another reason: the guy's got talent. Part pop, part rock 'n' roll, his latest album made it to the top of the Billboard charts - let us know if he's worth the hype.
Swoon: Down the Mississippi
Penn Humanities Forum
Institute of Contemporary Art
118 S. 36th St.
Wed, 5, free
http://humanities.sas.upenn.edu
Swoon, a street artist from New York City, has covered city walls across Europe and the U.S. with her distinctive "life-sized cutout paste-ups and block prints." If that isn't cool enough, she recently traveled down the Mississippi River on a raft made from recycled garbage. Come hear her speak (for free!) at the ICA - bonus points if you know what a cutout paste-up is.
