Street Takes You Out(side)

It's starting to get hot out there, which means that Penn's three big F's are right around the corner: Fling, Fried Oreos and Finals. We know, the anticipation is killing you (for two of the three at least). But you've got a solid seven days until you'll be pre-gaming in your best friend's friend's pledge's room in Riepe, wondering what your mom would think if she knew that you were washing down your Cheerios with vodka. And once you somehow shake that post-Fling hangover (Gatorade, aspirin, repeat), you'll want to soak up some sun. Read on to learn how to make the most of the great outdoors.

Duck Tours www.phillyducks.com The bus/boat contraption that takes you all around Philly is not just for tourists. Locals can and should take advantage of this so-cheesy-it's-awesome attraction. The tours leave from 6th and Market every hour on the hour from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and last for a little over an hour. Their Web site boasts that the tour is "quack-tacular." This phrase itself may be reason enough to get quackin' and check it out.

Trolley Tours www.phillytour.com Less opportunity for punning the word "quack" but more dry land, these tours are an excellent chance to leave campus and embrace historic Philadelphia without getting your feet (literally) wet. Picnic An old favorite that requires little to no planning, this one is good for couples or friends. Simple instructions are as follows: pick up food, walk to a new spot, sit, throw in some gingham and enjoy. We recommend Picnic, a small café at 3131 Walnut which, as its name not-so-subtly alludes, has great food for picnicking and is right on the way to those quaint benches that line the Schuylkill. Travel a few blocks further for prime people-watching in Rittenhouse or head in the opposite direction for low-key lounging in Fairmount Park.

Batona Hiking Club of Philadelphia Exactly what it sounds like: a club for people who want to hike in Philadelphia. This crew meets every Sunday and offers an advanced hike or, for the less ambitious, an easier trail. This is a good option for those who want to do something active before eating those Oreos and serenading the girl selling Insomnia with "When I move you move!. Just like that." For more info, give it a google.

Congrats to last week's winner: Xandria James ‏@XandriaJames‬ "Shut up. You're 22 and you're still talking about bat mitzvah money as a source of income." Honestly nothing surprises me anymore #Penn
