Love was in the air Thursday at Friday Saturday Sunday. Surrounded by low-voiced couples engaged in intimate conversations, my six giggly housemates and I made for a stark contrast to the rest of the crowd at this adorable low-key Center City date spot.

Friday Saturday Sunday's d‚cor is in no way glamorous -- the earthy colors and wooden furnishings create a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The bar, with its large salt-water fish tank, awaits patrons upstairs, along with additional restaurant seating in the same unpretentious fashion as the first floor. Mirrors line the walls and Christmas lights adorn the mirrors, creating a dim glowing effect that flatters even the most unfortunate-looking companion.

After my housemates concluded a lengthy and rather loud discussion of places that card hard and those that don't card at all, we ordered a $20 bottle of 2000 Sonoma White Zinfandel and toasted to the night. Wine at Friday Saturday Sunday is only $10 over cost, making getting a bottle (or two?) for the table a great deal.

I thoroughly enjoyed my cream of mushroom soup ($6), which was a generous portion of the lightest, yet creamiest, cream-of-anything soup I've had recently. There were actual pieces of mushroom in the soup, giving the dish a distinct mushroom flavor without overpowering the creamy flavor or texture. In the mood for something light, I chose to have a second appetizer as my main course. The pan-seared chilled tuna with sesame seed crust ($9.50) was served over garden greens with a wasabi vinaigrette dressing. The tuna was perfectly seared, and the wasabi vinaigrette brought out the natural flavors of the fish. A bit strong, the wasabi definitely cleared my sinuses, but the intense flavors were worth the slight temporary discomfort. I also tried the grilled tuna steak entr‚e ($19.50), served with a mustard sauce over a bed of wild rice. Dessert was a treat - the Gran Marnier CrŠme Brul‚e ($5) was exquisite and the perfect amount of sweetness to end the meal. The food coma bliss that ensued lasted all night.

Forget the name - I would eat at Friday Saturday Sunday any day of the week.
