Music Video Monday: "Carousel"—Melanie Martinez

The budding starlet from "The Voice" brings us a comforting, yet creepy trip around the "Carousel."

Some know Melanie Martinez for her stint on The Voice, and others know her for her Cruella de Vil hair. Her debut EP “Dollhouse” was released in May, and this week she gives us the music video for “Carousel,” the second track from the project to get video treatment. The video is set in the middle of the night in a carnival with many eerie characters. The sluggish movement of the video mixed with the vibrant colors and cheery background track provides a truly unique feel—an exotic combination of calm and spooky. It’s a perfect primer for Halloween weekend.
