The Pancakes and Booze Art Show is making its way back to Philly on September 16, and it’s a mustsee for any art buff or newbie. The gallery travels to 30 cities around the US each year, showcasing local underground talent to help undiscovered artists sell their work and get recognized. Since its inception in 2009, the show has become the country’s largest exhibit of new underground artists. Though all spots have been filled, any local artist or vendor could submit pieces to be considered for the gallery. The show is set to feature 80 local emerging artists, DJs, and photographers.

If the title alone isn't enough to sell you on it, here are our reasons to snag a ticket:

1. FREE PANCAKES

Any ticket buyer gets unlimited pancakes. Can you name any other art show (or frankly any event) that serves allyoucaneat pancakes? Probably not.

2. BOOZE

Need I say more?

3. Body Painting

Every year the art show has a display of live body painters. Come to see artists use an alternative to a regular old canvas like no other.

4. Live DJs

Emerging local DJs will be performing throughout the night which will keep the event lively and awake—no shhh signs at this gallery.

5. FREE PANCAKES

Did I already say that?

Tickets are $10 at the door. Underground Arts is at 1200 Callowhill, Philadelphia, a ten minute drive from Locust Walk.
