While negative news flow has been a constant in 2020, we've finally got some well–deserved good news. Popular coffee chains, including Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks, have released the fall menus you've been waiting for.

Since Dunkin’ Donuts’ first release of its famous Pumpkin Donuts and MUNCHKINS over ten years ago, the fall menu has served as a harbinger of the season for coffee–lovers across the country.

This year, the company released its beloved array of fall–themed treats earlier than ever. America’s self-proclaimed favorite coffee chain dropped its fall menu on August 19—over a month before the official start of autumn. With many people counting down the days until this year is over, Dunkin’ has officially answered the call for an early start to fall.

“This is one of the most anticipated times of the year for Dunkin’ guests, and we’re excited to make pumpkin favorites available at Dunkin’ restaurants earlier than ever,” Dunkin’s Vice President of Marketing Strategy Jill Nelson told Fox Business

The 2020 fall menu boasts several new and returning items. To spice up this year’s lineup (pun intended), the coffee–giant is dropping both a Signature Pumpkin Spice Latte and a Chai Latte. Dunkin’ is also offering up a new Iced Oatmilk Latte for all of the dairy–free coffee fans out there.

Meanwhile, the Maple Sugar Bacon Breakfast Sandwich is back by popular demand, as well as the pumpkin–flavored donuts, MUNCHKINS, and muffins. And in case your stomach isn’t growling already, the autumn menu also features Apple Cider Donuts and MUNCHKINS, Stuffed Bagel Minis, Maple Sugar Seasoned Snackin’ Bacon, and Steak & Cheese Rollups.

Loyal customers were ecstatic following news of the early release. “Thank you. We’ve never needed it more than we do now,” one user wrote under Dunkin’s announcement that the Pumpkin Iced Coffee and Signature Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte were making a comeback. “I got my pumpkin iced latte for work this morning and let me tell you my heart exploded in happiness,” another commented.

But Dunkin’ isn’t the only coffee giant bringing much-needed autumn–spirit to the masses. Less than a week after Dunkin’s fall menu debut, Starbucks released its autumn selection featuring items like the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Pumpkin Scone, and Salted Caramel Mocha.

Starbucks’ official Instagram post announcing the revival of their pumpkin-flavored treats also generated a great deal of buzz. “I wait every year for the [Pumpkin Spice Latte] so happy [it’s] back,” one user commented.

The company also introduced a new fall hotline at 1–833–GET–FALL that customers can call to hear some of their favorite sounds of fall, including “a crackling fire, a hayride through a pumpkin patch or even some PSL-inspired meditations," the company stated.

People love fall; the season is full of crisp air, colorful leaves, and all things pumpkin. The early release of our favorite fall treats was the good news that we all needed to finish out this year.
