Given today’s temperatures and the long summer ahead, you may find yourself with a growing affection for the comparatively–cool night hours. Schuykill Banks Outdoor Movie Night
Beginning this Friday, the Schuykill Riverbanks will screen a movie every other Thursday on the banks by Walnut Street Bridge. Look for light summer fare, perfect for the kiddies and those in need of some mindless blockbusting entertainment. Hancock plays tomorrow. In case Philly’s infamous penitentiary isn’t creepy enough for you in the daytime, the site extends its hours to 8 p.m. in the summer months. All tours, installations, and exhibits will continue to be offered in the evening. Night Market — Philly Beer Week edition
Following the overwhelming success of the Night Market’s October debut, the outdoor food bazaar, featuring vendors from Philly food trucks and the city’s ethnic restaurants, returns tonight with twice as many vendors and a Beer Week focus.
