Egos of the Week: Russell Abdo, Gary Kafer and Melissa Vo

Russell Abdo, Gary Kafer and Melissa Vo, the faces of Williams Cafe, have been servin’ up morning joe together for over three years. They might not agree on everything, but they share a love of coffee and a willingness to have a fivesome with Venus and Serena Williams.




Ego of the Week: Alex Rattray

Alex Rattray is more than just the kid who doesn’t wear shoes—he’s an entrepreneur. A self–taught hacker, he’s created over seven apps, like Emerald Exam and the Musical Toilet.


Ego of the Week: Jen Chaquette

Jen Chaquette controls all your money. When she’s not handlin’ the Benjamins as the chair of SAC, she’s uniting sorority sisters as the Panhellenic VP and debating like there’s no tomorrow in Mock Trial. But above all, she’s an Allegro VIP.



Ego of the Week: Marcus Mundy

Marcus Mundy is so well–known, it’s absurd. Besides being the face of the Penn Alcohol Module, he’s involved in the Glee Club, Queer People of Color, As 1 Global and Carriage Senior Society and he’s about to create his own country: Techtar.  Street: You’re considered one of the friendliest people on campus.



Ego of the Week: Pallavi Podapati

An outgoing chair of the Civic House Associate’s Coalition, Pallavi Podapati is Finance Chair of ASAP and producer of Penn Monologues. And when she’s sleep–deprived, she’s worse than a Penn squirrel on Locust.


Ego of the Week: Leo Wolansky

This Friar, PPE major and SAE bro has been the music director for Off the Beat—which has its spring show this weekend—for two years. And he could have a career as Edward Cullen’s body double.



Ego of the Week: Alec Miller

A self–proclaimed "obvious choice" for EOTW, this Alexander Hamilton aficionado is currently running UA and Class Board voting as the chair of the Nomination and Elections Committee (NEC). And he'll never let go of his Gia Pronto Foursquare mayorship. chair


Ego of the Week: Allie Fuchs

This former PRISM co–chair and Bill Clinton enthusiast is in Sphinx, majoring in Urban Studies and teaching for America in N'awlins next year. Oh, and she may be the first Penn student to take a class with her grandma.


Ego of the Week: Siraj Iqbal

This outgoing Simply Chaos president recently joined Excelano, is developing a rad app and acts in the Penn Taiwanese Society and Penn Philippine Association shows. And “A Bug’s Life” is his standup comedy inspiration.

Street: The show’s tomorrow! How has the buildup to the Vagina Monologues been going? Isabel Friedman: We’re at the end of Vagina Season and this year, we’ve had a lot more events than before.

When he’s not sinking at Smoke’s, this Skulls Whartonite is a Management 100 TA and co-founder and co-president of ACTION. He’s also co-founded Penn for Immigrant Rights and is a former Quad RA and chair of the Latino Coalition.
