Edwin McCain has not stagnated since his fifteen minutes of pop fame, rolling out twelve reflective songs with a country twang. Tracks like "Island Song" and "Beautiful Day" rival the 1998 hit "I'll Be," seemingly just as likely to be heard on Dawson's Creek. However, like his last two albums, The Austin Sessions probably won't see much radio play.
