The Breakdown: Bro-Shake

Eye contact is crucial, make sure you’re both interested. An upward nod is helpful, but not required.

Clasp hands firmly. A strong grip says a lot about you. Don’t be a pussy. Grip it like you mean it.

The embrace: the trickiest part of the bro-shake. Letting go too quickly is awkward, holding on too long is creepy. Wrap around the back with your free arm, keeping the handshake with your right hand.

Walk away feeling embarrassed. You know you hugged it out too long.
