Philly Works, Without the Workout

Ever wanted to find out what’s hidden behind those double doors on your way down to Meyerson B1 for your 200-person lecture (read: naptime)? Sorry to spoil the fun, but it’s not Narnia... or is it?

You may know Meyerson Hall as the place where you go for your gigantic PSYC001 lecture, but there’s more to that building than meets the eye. Right now, the lower gallery in Meyerson is featuring Philly Works, an exhibit focusing on functional products made by designers, craftspeople and students in the Philadelphia area. You’ll be surprised to find a motley assortment of objects, including an actual motorcycle.

If you’re too intimidated (or too late for class) to stop by, you can still take a look at a wide array of interesting pieces, featured online on the PennDesign website.
