Strictly Funk: This group stays true to its name by providing Penn with a range of hip hop, jazz, free-styling, lyrical, breaking, locking and funk moves. The group often includes theatrical elements in their performances — its recent show, Wet Hot Funk Summer, was a tribute to the good ol’ days of summer camp.

Arts House Dance Company: The dance numbers are seamless at performances by this student-choreographed tap, ballet, jazz and hip hop group. In the fall, the all-female troupe performs along with Penn Masala.

Onda Latina: True to its name, which means “Latin wave,” this troupe seeks to educate the Penn community about Caribbean and Latino culture through dance.

Dhamaka: Penn’s first and only all-male dance troupe fuses Western and South Asian styles, and the members compete in numerous competitions, including PhillyFest.

Pennaach: This all-female South Asian dance group also combines Western and South Asian influences. The glittering saris worn during performances add a traditional flair.

African Rhythms: Penn's drum and dance troupe lets you jam to the polyrhythms of the African diaspora, as it performs high-energy West African and Afro-Cuban dances.

Penn Masti: This co-ed South Asian fusion dance team can’t stick to just one genre. Masti is all about bharata natyam, bhangra, filmy, ballet, salsa and hip hop.

West Philly Swingers: Get a taste of 1939, as this group shows off a medley of swinging techniques.

Sparks: This all-female group, dedicated to community service, performs at locales such as Ronald McDonald House and Salvation Army.

Penn Dance: Penn’s first performing dance company is a co-ed student-run group that performs a number of dance styles, primarily modern.
