There are a number of reasons why you chose Penn over Drexel: the academics, the prestige, the ability to score above a 650 on the SATs -- just to name a few. If, however, you find yourself questioning the result of your college selection process, do yourself a favor and head to Spring Garden Pizza & Deli on 32nd and Spring Garden. I, for one, can categorically say that I've never been so thankful for Burberry-clad, Parliament-smoking sorority girls in my entire life.

@Street Text:Apparently, Spring Garden Pizza is Drexel's College Pizza or Allegro's equivalent. Granted, the joint's menu is a bit more extensive, and -- shall we say -- eclectic. The title "Pizza and Deli" is, in fact, not adequately descriptive of the diversity of culinary masterpieces offered. What other pizza joint serves up anything from omelets, to pizza, to chicken parm (or, at least let's hope that was chicken)? Unfortunately, it seems that the masterminds behind the establishment have spread themselves too thin. I'm no culinary expert, but I'd rank College Pizza as a "pretty damned good" on the I'm-Wasted-and-I-Need-Pizza-Now gauge. Drexel's equivalent falls short (shocking as that may be).

Happen to drop a piece of a stromboli (which looked about as questionable as the chicken) on your new white oxford? Thankfully, Spring Garden Pizza & Deli sells a wide variety of washing detergents, toiletries and other sundry necessities. If this place is beginning to sound like a hybrid of Wawa, Allegro's and a five-and-dime, that's because it is. In front of the "kitchen" area, about six different racks clutter the floor, each offering a variety of purchasable goods, ranging from chips to carpet cleaner.

Let's face it, kids: you're not going to go here. If you've just been listening to Pink Floyd (wink, wink) you can head to Wawa to buy the Doritos, and if you're craving a slice that bad, you can call up College Pizza. The folks over at Drexel may hold some masochistic allegiance to Spring Garden Pizza & Deli, but we've got our own establishments, as questionable as they may be ...
