Long understood as prolific collaborators, David Byrne and St. Vincent are at it again, this time teaming up for the freshly–released "Love This Giant." Fans of the artists will instantly recognize the rich orchestrations and cerebral vocals, while the thumpy drum tracks keep the feet tapping and the heads bobbing. Those who came for St. Vincent’s guitar work may be disappointed, though her airy vocals pair beautifully with Byrne’s iconic, conversational singing. It may have its shortcomings, but in the end "Love This Giant" delivers tunes that are at once smart and yet not wholly dispassionate. Brassy art–pop fans, rejoice!
