1. The mystery girl talking to Rob. For a while, Ryder was IMing with an anonymous girl and lately they had started to get quite close; so close that she even knows about some of his deepest secrets, such as his dyslexia. I don't know about anybody else, but I knew something was sketchy about the situation from the start. Also, her reaction to when he approached her didn't seem quite right. She didn't appear to even know him. When it was revealed that his anonymous crush in fact wasn't the girl that the picture suggested, even though I expected it, I was alarmed. With all the crazy people nowadays I got really nervous it was some crazy fifty year-old man. But the reveal that it’s someone from the Glee Club? Color me intrigued. I have my suspicions that it is going to be somebody unexpected like Unique, but only time (and another episode or two) will tell.
Although it's been almost seven years since his last album release in 2006, Justin Timberlake is back and better than ever. Shortly after the release of his newest album "The 20/20 Experience," Justin Timberlake released the video for his new song "Mirrors" last Tuesday. Within the first six days of release, the video managed to rake in over 12 million views. Dedicated to the legacy of JT's grandparents William and Sadie, the music video spotlights a couple over the course of their lives, showing how their love withstands the test of time and they grow old together. Directed by Floria Sigismondi, the video is brilliantly and artistically shot. The concept behind the video is refreshingly unique. One of the biggest surprises about the video is that JT himself doesn't make an appearance for the first five minutes; however, when he does make his entrance, he shows up with some of his smoothest signature moves. Overall, the video is well done and the vocals accompanying are as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuZE_IRwLNI
1. Finn vs. Mr. Schuester (Backstreet Boys vs. ‘NSYNC): After following the whole "Finn kissed Ms. Pillsbury while Mr. Schuester was gone" situation for several weeks, this conflict had to be addressed sooner rather than later; especially after the Valentine's Day episode, when Will's bride-to-be made a flighty exit before ever making it down the aisle. With both men just about equally loved and admired by the whole Glee Club, a Backstreet Boys vs. NSYNC feud duet couldn't have been more perfect for them. What was shocking, however, was Mr. Schu's inability to forgive. His choice of song "Bye, Bye, Bye" seemed to have more truth to it than originally let on, and it seems that the scars of infidelity run deeper than any of us thought. Will Mr. Schuester and Finn be able to rekindle their bromance that Gleeks everywhere have grown to know and love?
As a cable-less child of the '90s, I could only watch "The Proud Family" early in the morning on weekends, when it played on the basic access channels. Nonetheless, I was hooked on its theme song, which eventually became my shower song of choice. While attempting to download it onto my iPod one day, I discovered that there actually exists an extended 2:30 version of the catchy theme, which was almost too good to be true. Fun fact: "The Proud Family" song is actually sung by Solange Knowles, Beyonce's slightly-overlooked sister, and features Destiny's Child. It's worth a listen, if not only for its R&B-inspired, harmony-heavy beats, but as a chance to reminisce on old times.
1. Dress in layers. Don’t be afraid to throw on that ski mask. You may look like a robber, but at least you’ll be a warm one.
Think of something unique like DJ EarthQUAKER (see what I did there?). As a DJ, your stage name is often the first thing a potential client will see about you, so make it good.
