Art–pop outfit Chairlift offers a long–awaited follow–up to 2008’s Does You Inspire You? (best known for the hit “Bruises”) with Something. During the four–year hiatus, the band’s sound seems to have matured perfectly — Something is a fully–realized expression of innovative pop.
Anthony Green, of indie darlings Circa Survive, offers a strong solo effort with Beautiful Things. It’s impressively diverse — tracks like “Just to Feel Alive” are airy and gentle, while lead single “Get Yours While You Can” boasts a killer guitar hook.
