Eddie Murphy made a movie and it did well in the box office, so he had to make a sequel. In addition to his previous multiple version films 48 Hours, Beverly Hills Cop, and The Nutty Professor (not to mention "Raw" and "Delirious", quite possibly the best stand up acts... ever) Murphy has completed the double with his newest film Dr. Dolittle 2.
A walk through Perelman Quadrangle can be a typical experience for many Penn students. Yet, as the Philadelphia Art Museum's new exhibit Out of the Ordinary: The Architecture and Design of Robert Venturi, Denise Scott Brown and Associates points out, the quad is a small puzzle piece that fits into an unusual picture, the grand designs of two Manayunk architects.
For the past forty years, the world-reknowned husband and wife duo of Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown have redefined postmodernist thinking in architecture by testing the formal rules of design and assigning them new meaning.
Pop music takes a hit. Again.
Score one for Rufus Wainwright whose latest Poses demystifies music too accessible for the art world but too original and daring for commercial radio.
Tom Friedman's exhibit at the Fabric Workshop and Museum is tucked away on the fifth floor of the scaffolding encrusted Gilbert Building just off of Arch Street, accessible only by an elevator that virtually begs you not to exceed its weight limit.
The incredibly spare presentation--a nearly-vacant expanse of white walls that still smell faintly of fresh paint--gives the unsettling first impression of being in the wrong room, or that perhaps you were mistaken, and the museum hasn't finished setting up the exhibit yet.
The artwork, mostly spartan single-material pieces constructed from fabric, paper, string, or wire, demands that the viewer move in for a closer look.

There exist many unwritten rules of film. One says that if a film has a different title than what was originally intended, it is not a good film.
Another says that if a film's release date shifts around numerous times, the studio knows it will probably be a bomb.
Yet another says that if there are numerous writers of the screenplay, it will have that "Hollywood touch" meaning an incoherent script.
Things are not looking good for The Fast and the Furious. The film was originally called Racer X.

Chain Restaurants notoriously receive a bad rap as the banal staples of suburban dining: TGI Fridays, The Olive Garden etc.
Weezer
The Green Album
Weezer's 3rd album since their LA founding in 1992 has already begun to climb the charts, with the first single, "Hash Pipe," charting in the Top 10 in the Billboard Modern Rock charts last month, and the album itself edging into the Top 10 Billboard charts as well.
This album, dubbed The Green Album, was produced with Ric Ocasek (of Cars fame), and shows a great deal more inventiveness and talent than their first album, despite being slightly less "catchy" than "the Blue Album."
It is a welcome and long-awaited follow up to their 1996 release Pinkerton, which featured deeper and more meaningful lyrics than its predecessor.
